Maple Grove Resort - Original owner was Albert Cox (Sr.) who bought the land from Otto Roehl in 1903. He farmed for a while. His son Abby helped his father build and addition to their house about 1910. It was now ready to take in tourists. It was not large and catered to families and fishermen. About 1940, Abby sold Maple Grove back to Otto Roehl and approximately 5 years later it was purchased by Margaret Van Kralingen. She married Jack Sykes. who joined her in running the resort until at least 1958. It is no longer in operation and is owned privately by the Patava family.
