The ' Spartan Steamer ' -1895- was the main transport between Severn Bridge to the East and Sparrow Lake. Captain Thomas Stanton is at the wheel. A regular scheduled run was established to bring people and supplies to the lake. Captain Tom and his sons went on to establish a fleet of steamers that served until gasoline was introduced in 1910.
